I grew up in a small town in Montana—a place I'll always call God's Country. Surrounded by majestic mountains, sparkling rivers, and endless adventures, I learned early that God's creation is one of His greatest storybooks.

Today, my husband and I, both retired U.S. Navy veterans, are blessed to call the beautiful San Juan Islands of Washington home. After years of serving our country and traveling the world, we still have the travel bug and love discovering new places, meeting wonderful people, and finding inspiration in every adventure.

My greatest adventure, however, began when I became "Gigi." When my grandchildren were born, I started creating little stories just for them. Before long, I began writing stories for women in my bookclub about their adventures with grandchildren. What started as a heartfelt gift quickly grew into a joyful hobby—and eventually became Norton Children's Books.

When I'm not dreaming up new adventures, you'll often find me curled up with a good book or wandering the peaceful forest trails of Anacortes, enjoying a "forest bath." Among the towering Douglas-firs, quiet streams, and singing birds, I'm reminded that God is always present in the beauty of His creation.
